I'll give you an attaboy. While on the last Westy trip through WV and PA I found myself doing the same thing on the seemingly endless climbs through the mountains. Not many people responded positively with a wave or a honk but no one refused to go past me so I'm pretty sure they appreciated it.
What bothers me most about other drivers' behavior is the seeming total cluelessness about what it is they're doing out there. That's my entire rant.

OK, here's my rant.
Long ago [and in this galaxy] when I got stuck behind a motorhome or another
vehicle that was going much slower than the general flow of traffic I swore
if I ever drive something significantly slower I'd pull over. Or if I were
behind, say a truck or something and I couldn't pass I'd drop back so
that
others wouldn't have to do a two vehicle pass.
And mostly I've done it.
Now everyone pat me on the back and say "what a good boy you are!"
