Well, a week from today I should be somewhere on the road, and hopefully in Missoula!  AAA Triptik is proving helpful to find places to overnight, but I am sort of tentative about the Elizabethtown, KY to Dallas, Tx leg of the trip.  I need to find a place to overnight on that leg.  Little Rock, AR appears to be mid-point (the last time I was there was on TDY to Pope AFB to support Army manuveurs, 20+ years ago).  I'd like a campground rather than an RV park.  Lake Catherine State park popped up as a possibility; any input from someone familiar with it?
 
Things are going well, just installed a connector on my aux battery today so I can connect the solar panel to it, if needed.  Have the van pretty much packed up, except for clothes and food.  I am getting excited!  My work is being very accomodating; they aren't willing to let me just quit.  When I get back I can work part-time training my replacement, then work on-call, as needed.  What a deal, huh?
 
I will be in touch while on the road.  The laptop is loaded up and the wireless is working.  We're down the wire now!  One week and counting.....
