Personally, I say yes to low stress!

I'm now brainstorming on how to make the rubber isolating pieces. (they are $$ per piece new)

I wonder if two pieces of rubber, each with fasteners embedded, could be bonded well enough to withstand the heat and vibrations. These would be placed between the brackets on the muffler and engine block.

A while back, Jim Akiba had made mention of a company called "Smooth-On". They can supply kits for making polyurethane or rubber parts, but I can't wait on them to mail me the stuff, so am looking for other ideas.
