I just bought some and plan to install them in the AM in my 84. Now I have some sealed beam halogens that are OK, but I wanted a little more low beam, for sure..and extra high beam wouldn't hurt with all the rural traveling I do.

These came with aiming instructions (Hella) and instructions for installing the bulb that mention an adaptor plug..Did I miss out on that, or will they plug right in to my current wires?

Aiming: the instructions are written for a single light...and show an arc to the right of center of the beam that gives further range to the right part of the beam. So, how are people aiming these as a pair? The instructions tell me to draw a center line, and make the extended portion of the beam light pattern start there and extend to the right of the center line...but, should I make two center lines and aim each light, or is there a compromise to aim both lights at a single 'target' somehow.

I'd like to get them darn close to right before I take off on a upcoming western states trip because now it's the time of year when wildlife is active on the highways and it gets dark pretty early already in the Northwest, at least. I don't want to be blinding oncoming traffic, either..

Anybody have any tips for me?

Thanks, Don Hanson
