I've had a prior experience with new fuel hose cracking and leaking in less than a year (though it was a carbureted engine, not fuel injected).

I just finished reinstalling my gas tank -- the project had gone on hiatus for a couple of months but finally was able to get back to it. While I was at it I replaced all my fuel hose. Actually the hose that was there (Conti -- assuming it was the original) did not look too bad, but the stories about engine fires scared me into it. Hope this is not a case of "fixing" something that was not broken....

But given my previous experience I will definitely be keeping an eye on this new hose for any signs of failure.
