now that we know it's a single piston sliding caliper ........... first thing you check is if it's sliding properly and smoothly on the guide pins. If the piston is outboard, and the caliper doesn't slide in its mounts........ and the outer pad wears excessively, then that would point to a caliper not sliding. It slides on guide pins. They can get rusty, stuck etc. Scott www.turbovans.com oh, I have good take-off syncro calipers, btw.
