I you want to see many options for wheels and tires on a Vanagon check the Samba forums and VW Vortex. The sticky threads are very long and show 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and yes, 19" rims on a Vanagon.

Be sure to get the mounting hardware needed from Loggy! He makes it so simple to mount just about any rim.

Remember to read the details carefully. If you are upgrading to rear disc it will change the offset of the rears and you will need to do some math to figure out the spacer width needed.

EricD has very nice extended slider hinges available on the Samba.

Best of luck, it is totally worth the time, effort and expense to rim out your van. The handling is great and the bling factor will set you apart from the masses.
