   Spot shortages hell- it's bigtime... although the Atlanta Urinal
Constipation claims that things are starting to ease a little.

  Onliest thing available right now is regular, and you'll probably
have to search hard to find it.  Just like in '74, people will line up
just to top off their tanks.  Reports of idiots calling 911 in order
to locate operating gas stations are true.

  Our fuel supplies come from the Gulf Coast through the Colonial
Pipeline, which was shut down for a few days after the hurricane-
don't know whether this is on purpose or not.  Refineries, too were
shut down, and it takes a while to get 'em back into operation again.
Some refineries stayed shut down even longer due to power outages.

  We've had some relief, getting an EPA bye for "foreign" fuel
(dirtier) delivered by tanker truck, but it still ain't pretty out
there.  Last night on the news was a report of a theft of the entire
supply of some rural volunteer fire department.
