My turbo volvo sedan is named 'Inga'............and yes, it's 'we can go in Inga' . My old mercedes sedan is named Urusla. I've never named my vanagons that much though. I could call my 'new' 87 Wolfsburg ( likely for sale ) 'The Silver Streak'. or 'Wolfy' I suppose.

mostly I make them so dialed in throughout that I don't have to call them a turd or POS. I did have freinds who called their Mercury Comet 'Vomit' though - thought that was cute !

I call my freind's Ford Escort station wagon 'Escargot' ...........mildly derogatory. We say 'the Escargot' . ( prounned the frech way of course........for snale - 'escar-go'. )
