I searched the archives using the google "site:vanagon.com" technique and found the photos of the vanagon-volvo crash test, and sent that to Car Talk.....telling them that the international vanagon community was here to "help" them sort out the truth of vanagon crash worthiness.

I also searched YouTube and found crash tests....including the "fill-the-van-with-concrete-and-wonder-why-it-folds" crash test, but never did find video of the one with the volvo.

I found the thread on the T3 crash tests.  Is that the one to which you referred?

I thought I had the vanagon-volvo head-on collision video, but apparently I didn't save it.  If someone has it and can send it to me, or maybe a link to the video on YouTube....I'll send it to Car Talk.

Thanks, Anthony

I perked up when I heard Click & Cluck knocking our beloveds because, according to them, they're unsafe w/o airbags. Unsafe? I know seat belts

and airbags are great things to have. I never drive w/o me belt but I don't consider an airbag as crucial to survival as a belt. Anyone disagree, with data?

I was highly offended by some entertainer on the airwaves insinuating me SaVannah is unsafe. One of yous gearheads need to send them the crash

videos we recently had going around here so they understand we're as safe as can be expected in a van of that era. I'll take a bald mid lifer in a Vanagon any day over a young turk in a red coupe high on testosterone!
