My 84 Westy is vanity plate named DETLEF in honor of the OG owner who owned it for its 1st 18 years & 38.5k miles. We were the 1st to answer his ad, & he wouldn't let us drive it, but would take us for a ride in it. It had only been serviced by the dealer, & looked/ran like brand new.

Coincidently, I was not even considering a vanagon on the day I saw the ad in the local paper, but threw a rod in a new engine in my 63 DC w/ 700 miles on it & said, hey, how about that vanagon in the paper this morning!

YMMV,

Mr. BZ-Detlef now has 118k & is only slightly used
