So, can anybody explain something to me. Last week I had to stay at my mother's (ambulatory surgery), and she had a Consumer Report laying around. Well, I read about VWs and that engine was about unreliability. I don't like the magazine, to me they're biased (very). I do know my cousins '99 Golf 2.0 burns oil, but what is it about the 1.8T that gave CR such a low opinion about it?
