I mounted my gauges with this pod, removed the ashtray. My gauges are all white now. I drilled and tapped the coolant distributor (very carefully), and installed the coolant temp sensor very close to the original. For oil temp, used a beetle drain plug sensor, and for the oil pressure used a grease gun extension hose attached to the block and on the side a T fitting with the original oil pressure sensor and a VDO sensor for the gauge. Ran the wires attached to the a/c hoses, and there you have it.
