Folks I need some help please.

My bother & his friend are going to start the swap out my 82 westy d going from the 1.6na to a 1.6t from an 84 Jetta & a DK from an 80 air cooled westy. He has owned a water boxer & is a master marine diesel mechanic but has not done this before.

This is what I know needs to be done.

1. swap oil pan & pick up tub

2. tap the oil pan for return for the turbo

3. cut the left mount to clear the turbo (I have know idea how much)

4. cut the shaft on the trans of the DK to fit (I have know idea how much)

5 diesel bell housing to DK

I have check around & have not found anything online. Someone was good enough to post the steps before but I cannot find them also any pics would be of help as well. I'm hoping to get the bus back on the road soon.

Chris
