in your left engine mount. Hold the stock left cast aluminum engine mounting bracket up to your engine ........if it clears the turbo, if not ..........what I expect is you'll have to remove about 1 3/4 inches from the end of the cast aluminum bracket. what I do is mount the whole engine up and in place...........support right where you want it...... then make a new mounting place for a rubber engine mount between the left engine cradle bar and the shortened aluminum bracket. takes some welding and fabrication. I beef up the bottom of the cast aluminum mount by tig or aluminum welding on a piece of aluminum angle iron. I build 'in place' like that a lot. You can make a cardboard template of any plate piece you need to make........ then cut it out on the work bench........the fit it, then tack weld it.......etc. and just keep going like that. I've used a turbo diesel quantum engine rubber mount there.........it's much smaller, but has worked fine.

you could also swap over your stock diesel vanagon trans input shaft. you can tell by comparing the two shaft how much you need to cut off the longer DK one if you're going to go that way. it's just under a half inch .........12mm perhaps. I haven't shortened one while it was installed...........don't like the idea of fine metal particle flying around from the cutting operation.......but you could try I suppose. You also get the input shaft length by using the bell housing face as a reference point. It's very close to flush with the plane of bell housing face..........even, or just slightly not sticking out.

need to adapt throttle linkage a little, not a big deal. Make the exhaust system. I could probably find a shot of my turbo diesel exhaust system. there's lots on the web too. do nice work !
