Mreely switching sizes from 185R14 to 205/70R14 cannot make this difference. It is far more likely that the difference was attributable to the specific tires in question and/or inflation. 185R14 and 205/70R14 have the same sidewall height. The only difference is width.

Yup, to be fair, my '84 Westy had <sigh> passenger car tires on it before I put the Vanco 8s on it. Jeff
