I concur, in fact this advice extends to ANY Digifant motor, e.g. in an A2 Golf or Jetta as well. In my experience they are good for a couple of years on average. I just replaced it on my van and it resolved a problem I had with stumbling/very low power when starting the engine cold.

Maybe at the dealer; they can be found for much less on-line. I keep a spare in the glove box. Get the O-rings with them, they're cheap as well.
