That is for the "dynamic oil pressure warning system". 86+ has 2 oil pressure switches and a logic board inside the speedo that they connect to. If you use a blue foil with the factory extra connector on it you need to use the logic board too or you won't have any oil pressure warning at all. You can jumper the 86+ foil so it works like the 85 foil and then does not need the logic board. There is a empty place for another resistor on the 86+ foil and putting that resistor in converts it to an 85 foil as far as the oil pressure light goes. You need to leave the 6 pin connector unplugged when using the resistor.
