I popped one last week too. Stupidest creatures on the planet. Jump into the road then stop and look at you.

FWIW Vanagons are MUCH tougher than bays. Hit a buck at about 10 mph ten years ago in my bay. Crumpled the entire nose. Hit the doe last week at about twenty mph. Broke the lower grill a bit and popped a piece off the l/h turn signal. Moved the sheet metal between the light and the grill back about a quarter of an inch. Looks like it'll pop right back out.
