Morton, WA NAPA FLAPS saved the trip. They had a distributor and rotor in stock, and plugs, wires, and pre-filter first thing Saturday morning. Still not sure what the torque-killer was, but she seems fine now. Went up Mt. St. Helens road 99 and 25 as slowly as ever. The mysterious loud hum is gone, too. Must have been the fuel pump, which I expect will have a shorter life the awful noise it made. Next trip: Oregon coast. MUST do something about the stock lights. Have relays and wire, I wonder if I can use a different bulb holder and brighter bulbs for a while? CB 1983.5 1.9l WBX Cunegonde |
