Hi all. This is for an '81 Westy. Archive info suggests that rust pitted metal brake lines should be replaced. What other criteria determines if, or when, a steel brake line should be replaced? The front to back line on my Westy has some corrosion but I"m not certain it needs replacing just yet. Do these lines ever rust out from the inside? (Can ya tell I'm looking for an excuse not to get under my Westy again? I mean really. I'd rather be inside my Westy enjoying it! But hey. It's my brakes! ;^) Re: the rear short flex hoses. Mine look like they've never been replaced. Is a visual inspection for cracks sufficient to determine if they're still ok? Thanks for any pointers! Neil.
