Actually, it's a 2mm x 14mm long pin.  Just take a small finishing nail
skinnier than the pin and carefully tap it out.  The handle should separate
from the piece that goes through the glass.  Early Jettas/Rabbits/Golfs use
this same type of Vent Lock and attaching procedure.
