Scott,

Please do not confuse Van-Cafe (formerly Volks Cafe) with VANAGON CAFE. Van-Cafe is a relatively successful commercial enterprise which sells VW parts.

Vanagon Cafe is my personal website which is focused on my own personal Vanagon hobby. Like many people who have/had AOL service, I post photos of events such as the yearly Van-O-Rama. THAT was part of the service you paid for on AOL. There weren't too many economical and/or user friendly solutions for hobbyist who wanted to set-up their own homepage 10 years ago. Hometown AOL addressed those issues well until now.

To borrow your expression... So what exactly is 'the problem'? In plain English, why would you comment about my webpage on this thread? =) I am sorry if I bugged you by posting details about the move. But there are still a few folks who visit Vanagon Cafe on occasion for one reason or another. There has been more than 100K hits since inception when before I stopped counting. =) Besides, I did not think I was alone among millions of AOL users who only got a 30 day notice that Hometown AOL was closing it's doors 10/31.

For people like Frank Condelli, who missed the notice, there isn't a whole lot of time to find the resources to transfer what sometimes amounts to years of work to another hosting service. I thought it would be nice to let some of the folks who missed the notice such as Frank. Since there are some folks who do use things like the Vanagon Cafe's few How-To pages, I felt it also a service to the greater Vanagon Community. I think that is a bigger deal than a location of a single Westy for sale.

Regards,

BenT
