Does anyone on the list have any valid information on what percentage of ethanol is acceptable to run in our Vanagons? Does VW have any info specific to our model years? In my area ( SW Virginia) we typically see 10% ethanol in most every major brand. I have the stock injectors in my van and wonder if damage might occur to these with a 10% concentration. Are there any other components in the fuel system that might sustain damage from ethanol? If the injectors are the only component that might sustain damage I wonder if there is a suitable replacement that will work with the potentially higher concentrations of ethanol that we might see in the future. My injectors are original with a good spray pattern and have only had the seals that attach them to the fuel rail replaced with my fuel line replacement recently. My only experience prior to this with the possibility of running "flex fuel" was my consideration of running my 82 diesel on used fryer oil. Thanks listees and vanagonauts!

Ethanol is very corrosive and can damage the fuel system, so beware.
