dear questioning vanagon owners i am reminded often of manning the phones at my brothers carlot phone rings ... hello-- our car lot -- caller: hi -- i have a 76 toyota -- whats it worth -- me: er ... what sort of shape is it in-- caller: great only once there was this time when it got banged in a parking lot-- me: oh yes-- a fender scratch .. those usually come out with a good polish --what fender or was it a door caller: oh it wasnt the door or fender-- it was the hood-- one of those big tire 4 x 4 trucks -- backed up over the hood... i guess they couldnt see i was there -- i had just started and the blue smoke from the engine was blinding the other drivers -- so how much do you think i should ask for it --

and then everyone jumps all over scott for wanting to know details about the problem or actually the engine experiencing the problem -- i stopped at a VW place in the early part of this year -- just off burnside douglas intersection in victoria bc... i was telling him about a subaru installation i had seen and he said he would nto work on them -- not cause he was against subaru -- indee dhe liked them -- but because it was no longer a VW ... and once the installation was done it changed everything VW to unknown ---

so maybe some details about what sort of van power one has is of signifcance -- as well as location because sea level iair intake is different than mountian hieght --who knew -- yours
