True, but then you have to stash a rolled 10-foot-long thing somewhere because of the rigidity of the track at the awning's edge.  Lots of different approaches.  Another reason I like this list; lots of inspiration and input.

That's a sweet setup Stephen. That awning track will also fit over the rain gutter quite nicely, the gutter then becomes the welt. No screwing or drilling involved. Pop rivet the track to the awning. Works for me.
