Our Ezy-Awning simply has a horizontal pole that fits inside the rain
gutter, holding the awning to the van body.  Specially designed padded
clamps with wingnuts hold the pole in place.  The water rolls off into the
gutter on each side of the pole. When the awning is not in use, the pole
collapses and goes into the awning storage bag along with the clamps.
Simple, yet effective.
