 Any former type2'ers remember the photo of the Bay that hit a cow in
Mexico?       Jeff

  Speaking of cows and Mexico...the town where we lived, south of La Paz, BC
had the normal free-roaming vaca population, led by Esmeralda, a rather
large long horned Brahma cross cow.  She was quite fearless and very hungry
all the while, eating cardboard boxes, books, cholla cactus, just about
anything..

 One of the windsurfers around that winter had a brand new Ford 250 pickup
and a big cookie habit...Marias by brand name , a mexican shortbread cookie,
that he bought by the case...He left a carton of them on his bench seat in
the front of the truck one day and came in from windsurfing to catch
Esmeralda with her head in through the side window, eating the
cookies...Without much thought, he hollered and threw a huge rock at
her...Well, she panicked and went cuckoo trying to get her very long horns
back out of the small door window.....without much immediate success...She
pretty much trashed the truck, thrashing around inside...Tore the door part
way off, broke the windshield and the rear glass, ruined all the upholstery
and the dash and all the instruments....
  She was fine, though.
And for some VW content...In my former home (Jackson Hole, Wy) a newcomer
was on a small back road in his VW bug when he came face to face with a
moose on the single lane in heavy forest with snowbanks...The moose didn't
want to go into the deep snow.just because a car was there..so this dude
decided to give him a nudge with the bug....Bad Idea during the rut!  The
dude escaped, but not the bug.  It was pretty much totaled by the bull moose
in repeated rams and stompings...The driver got out and ran...
