I have push rod covers available for sale if anyone needs a couple.
I keep saying stainless steel is not always the best material to use.
I like the idea of tack welding it in place, then removing for final
welding.
Needs to be tack welded pretty solidly in place first. Things move around as
they're welded on. If you had an old semi-dead engine to bolt the pipe to
while it was welded............that would help ensure correct final
alignment.
