I installed a 1/2" gas valve from a hardware store between the tank and the pre filter, so I can shout off the gas flow when I do work with the pump or replace the filters. Lose very little fuel and it's easy to reach under the van and activate. I've also used it for a shade tree anti theft device when parking in a weird area.
