I think this sad event goes to show just how much many of us depend on the resources we have available to us. Bob was the logical choice (IMHO) if one wanted a replacement for an engine and couldn't do it themselves or really wanted it done right. The same could be said for others in this community.

Although there are often several options to getting what you need we would be in a world of hurt without people/companies like Boston Bob, Benny Boy, Bus Depot, Vanagain, Van Cafe, Go Westy, AA Transaxle, Frank Condelli, Vanaru, Sewfine, Bus Boys, etc. etc (if I missed anyone I deeply apologize this is in no way a complete list).

This doesn't in any way account for the vast knowledge of the individual members of this list or other local shops out there who know their stuff and are willing to help and share that knowledge with the rest of us.

I'm not intending to be over sentimental but this is a good example of just how much the loss of any one of these individuals/businesses effect our community.

That of course completely ignores the human factor of the entire thing (which is admittedly more important).

So my point? Well, I guess this is just a thank you to all of you who do so much for this list and the VW community in general.
