As the other guy says..........
for sure, you do not have to accept what they offer you.
Just keep telling them...........it's worth much more than $ 2,600 before
the crash - and provide evidence.
Print out or send them links of similar condition and year westy's to
convince them it was worth a lot more than that.........
just keep working on them.
They'll come up some. And try to work it so you get to keep your van, or as
suggested buy it inexpensively from them after they total it and send you
your check.
Then you fix it yourself, or buy a donor body and swap over all your goodies
or whatever.
Syncro Westy people..........after having been offered say $ 7,000 for a
total.....have spent months showing their insurance company those go for 20k
and up.....and eventually gotten a proper $ 15,000 or so settlement.
So push for what you think you can get. I don't know the condition or
anything of your van........but if you know that's it worth say 8 to 10,000
dollars............try to get them up to 5 grand at least.
the $ 2,600 is ridiculous pretty much.
