well............all in the past now of course........... but when you stop at the end of a row of cars...........ESPECIALLY out in the country or somewhere where a flagger is not expected....... first., you don't stop right behind the car in front of you............you stop about 5 car lengths back, at least......... Second, you watch behind you, and you never relax until about 5 cars are stopped behind you.

* Always leave yourself escape room by never stopping close to the car in front of you in a line of cars.........at least not until several are in line behind you. Even in city traffic............always leave yourself escape room when stopping in a line of cars. Never relax until several are lined up behind you.

also......ALWAYS monitor what's behind you ...........don't let people follow you closely, don't be right in front of huge trucks, don't be right in front of a 19 year old male in a jacked up truck or hotrod..........you need to watch your '6" like a hawk at all times !!

Considering what direction or quadrant a hazard is likely come from or be in......... the first two most dangerous directions are the 45's to the front ........ the next most dangerous is from behind.

Scott
