I'm convinced they are going to start building the microbus concept once the new plan is in. Even Katy from VW headquarters told me the concept was not dead but would not elaborate. VW probably doesn't want to tell us because 1) they may still not build it and 2) announcing a new van would probably cut into current Routan sales. The 2 vans will actually be completely different so actually if the Routan sales are good they could sell both vans side by side.

Of course where does that leave Westfalia who wants to convert an American van to a camper? Hmmm, do they start with Routan then re-tool for the bigger and better Microbus, wait for the Microbus and forget the Routan, hmmmm.
