My last comment on this would be that this is a VANAGON mailing list - as
we discuss VANAGONs and things related to Vanagons - so stuff like the new
VW Routan would not necessarily be on topic but in the ball park as it is
a VW product and a van and the majority of the people won't take serious
objection to it as it is all in the family. I am sure most other
people arn't taking offence to messages like this, all I am saying is
there is a time and a place for it and this isn't one of them.
I could go on a separate tangent from politics and say how much I enjoy
riding my BMW GS and that it is much superior to a Harley or the virtures
of Canadian banks over American banks... or get really in the mood an tell
the list how cute my cousin's baby is or get the nitty gritty and say that
I changed it's diaper three times when I was at thier house and that I
could tell it had carrots for lunch... I am sure people don't give a rats
ass about this, so why would it be correct to assume most people on a
Vanagon mailing list would give a rats ass about the US electons?
Some do I am very sure, but most don't and there another time and place
for it and that is not here a the Vanagon mailing list. Public
service mesages as someone chimed in... really... sure... I can give daily
public service announements if you like - I am sure I would asked to stop
pretty quickly.
If you want to talk politics I am sure [100%
positive] there are many other forums out there to do it in. Just
like there is for BMW motorcycles, the banking industry and your
relatives. Join Facebook - there are lots of people there willing to
share your view on various things. Most of the people on the Vanagon
mailing list signed up for Vanagon stuff and Vanagon stuff only.
Back to our regularly scheduled boring old Vanagon posts please!
