Arrrrghhhhh!!! Not even a month ago I replaced all the fuel line in the van. Was about to take it on a spin to check out all the new shifter parts and I thought what the heck, I'll take a quick peek in the engine compartment. Well good thing I did because there is fuel oozing out around all the plastic "covers" on the lines that run to and from the injector rails. So guess I'll be doing that job again -- who sells the *factory* fuel line? I bought "OEM" german fuel injector line but clearly it was not up to snuff. I'm not going to embarass the vendor publicly because I have no doubt he'll make it right, but ultimately the line came from a World Pac distribution facility. I even used OEM-type crimp (Oettinger) clamps. Gawd what a frustration.... Allan -- 1991 Vanagon GL |
