I vote for the day that the Vanagon was invented... and personally that historic day in 1987 when I bought my 84 Westy and drove it home!! And heck, if the election doesn't go the way I want it, I can hop in my Vanagon and head out of the country! The only change I need, is an Oil Change, coolant change, and maybe a tire change. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Mike S Sent: Tuesday, November 04, 2008 8:58 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: NO POLITICS ON THE LIST was: Crowded at the polls today At 08:27 PM 11/4/2008, Scott Daniel - Turbovans wrote... >Like you know............this is a historic day.......... >there has *never* been a day like today, with so much at stake, in the >entire human history of North America. Hyperbole much? I vote for January 17, 1949 - the day Ben Pon imported the first VWs into the US. That's the most important date in US history, as far as the list is concerned, IMO. |
