One lever I used was "I don't want any money, all I will settle for is you
buying me a replacement.  If you are so sure of the value than you shouldn't
have any problem finding a direct replacement in the same condition, buying
it and delivering it to me."  They tried to ignore that demand but finally
had to respond when I wouldn't talk about anything else.

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
