I don't particularly like the look of them, though my '83 300D has them. But that's just a matter of preference.

One thing, they're not all that easy to clean with all those openings and "ribs", the surface is not really "polished" smooth either and tends to collect brake dust. If you run "dusty" brake pads that can be annoying.
