Subject: Tan corduroy in Westy Wolfburg Weekenders
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I also have VW's finest shread-o-matic fabric in my '86 pastel white weekender... When I bought the van the front seats were pretty ripped up, although the foam was just fine. I then found a great set of tan velour, later-style captains chairs out of an '87 that I've now installed.

But my jumpseat and rear bench could use some new fabric for sure. I would love to buy enough fabric to recover them, but have not been able to track down a good replacement.

I really like the corduroy look, and would like to keep it. There must be a durable corduroy upholstery fabric out there somewhere, although I've yet to find it. If anyone else does, please let the rest of us know.

I think that since the rear bench pads and the jumpseat are pretty much right-angles on all sides, it would not be too complicated a DIY project.

best, james
