that specific seat upholstery material in that specific year and model ( I have one .......really a great version of a Weekender too ) ....is called 'Shread-o-matic.'

I'd be surprised if there was a good seat anywhere, and if you used it ..........it would start shredding before too long anyway. Funny they're like this too.........because VW has some incredibly durable materials in their vanagon interiors.

btw, there's a former vanagon guy in Salem who's a real upholstery guy. Might be a bit spendy, but I believe he could re-do your seats in the right material.......or find an even better one, and do a fine job too. Scott
