Bob, When living in Alaska, I had many near moose encounters. Having seen the damage they can do made me extremely cautious, and I studied their habits to try and avoid having my vehicle become a moose casualty. I succeeded in beating the odds, while others didn't fair so well. I rounded a bend one summer day i only to find a motor home stopped in the road with a moose in the the front end - IN the drivers compartment. The driver and passenger were cut and bruised, but fortunately no one was killed but the moose. It ruined the vacation of a couple who had been planning that trip for years. Moose are designed to live in the deep snows and to get about in marsh and lake so they stand very tall, They WILL easily roll up over a hood and crash through a windshield. After coming upon elk and moose on roads here in Utah, it's apparent to me that they are so "leggy" that the body of the animal would come right into/through the windshield and no bumper would provide much protection, if any. > > http://weedread.com/vanagonparts.jsp?pa=ip&ip=497794936 > > bob > My bumpers: http://tinyurl.com/6rfc4o > I got these at www.aircooled.net but I'm not sure they carry them anymore? > > >> For years I have desired to have a set of good bull bars to protect >> the front of the Van from possible Deer Damage.
