Mine is insured at an "agreed value" based on an approved appraisal at $14,000. As my 83.5 westy is "more than 12 years old" the insurer also required an inspection performed and signed by licensed mechanic. It costs me $570.00 cdn annually. I drive it for personal use only (not for commuting to work). No restricted mileage. I also insure three other vehicles on the same policy. I have a clean driving record. ymmv On 11-Nov-08, at 10:00 PM, Automatic digest processor wrote: > Subject: Re: BLACKBREARD - the debacle > > Some have mentioned trying to insure a vanagon as an "assigned > risk"...(I > think that is the term used by Insurance______s.)
