Here is what I think you can do. Try to collect some sale ads from Craigslists and eBay. Put together 20 pages of ads which show the market prices of a Westy similar to yours. Look for completed sales on eBay. There must be a lot of them there.

Show them to the insurance company and tell them you are motivated to hire an attorney if they do not honor the true market value for your claim. If you can have an attorney call them and present the 20 pages of ads I believe you have a good chance to get what you deserve. This may set you back a few hundred bucks. But it may be worth it. They are likely to honor the repair bill rather than totaling it.

Of course, after getting what you deserve from them you immediately say good bye to them and look for another insurance company.
