I almost always wear the blue nitrile gloves.

In the good old days, before I discovered the gloves, I would rub in a good dose of hand cream (I like Neutrogena) right before starting work.  The hand cream clogged up 90% of the cracks and pores on my hands, preventing the grease from getting in.  Clean up was much easier and faster.
