The New Beetle is NOT being replaced with a rear-engine car. It is also NOT a seriously flawed car. The up! Concept, on which the new New Beetle will be based has been changed to fwd. My New Beetle has 178000 miles on it with no breakdowns and it gets 45 MPG and no, it does not handle like pig. It is flawed from your perspective because ever since I have been on this list, which makes 8 years, you've been prejudiced against anything new VW made.
