Cite, please. Preferably, a link to a VW tech bulletin or other official document backing that up.

Also, please explain why Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac, Mercedes Benz AMG, Porsche, Dodge Viper, and Dodge Ram SRT 10 all use Mobil-1 as factory fill on new engines.

This isn't 1945. Machining is much better these days. There's very little to "break in" anymore. 3000 mile oil changes, too.
