Subject: Survey - True Value Vehicle Insurance Premiums
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed; delsp=yes

Volks,

As many of you are aware, Matt Drew is trying to settle a claim with his insurance company to repair his Westy. Of course they want to "total" it and settle for a small percentage of what it will cost to repair and leave him with a "Salvage" Title vehicle.

Yup ... same old story over and over.

Bill Thompson suggested, perhaps we should summarize this insurance discussion and provide it to every newbie. Interesting idea.

The one good thing to come out of this is a great discussion about Basic policies vs "Appraised or "True value policies.

Of course we all assume a "True Value" policy would have a much higher premium, but how much higher?

Survey ..... True Value Insurance Premimums

If you have a "True or Appraised" value Insurance policy on your Vanagon or other "Classic" vehicle please respond.

NOTE >>> PLS RESPOND VIA PRIVATE EMAIL TO: roadguy@roadhaus.com / subject "Survey - True Value Vehicle Insurance Premiums"

I will summarize the responses and post for all to review.

1) What Vehicle ... make, model, year, condition

2) Policy value aka insured value?

3) Monthly Premium

4) State and City of residence

5) Insurance Company

6) How long has the policy been in effect.

thank you
