Welding suppliers are one of the most frustrating of all the suppliers I deal with. Suggested list price for hobbyists is way up there in space, medium size accounts pay way less. The people on the order desk are on commission, so they don't have much interest in giving you the best pricing. There are many tiers to Air Liquid pricing, and the salesman is able to give you almost any price he feels like. It's like bargaining for a carpet in Turkey.
