No, but you probably won't hit 70A load either. You can always tell if you're drawing more amps than your supply can handle efficiently when you notice a drop in voltage.

Nothing to worry about there. You could have a 900A alternator, and the only difference would be a little engine power lost due to having to spin a 10x larger and heavier rotor. An alternator won't put out any more amperage than the load connected to it asks for.
